The Coach House is the ground floor, one bedroom apartment of the old stable that abuts Derwent Cottage. A substantial Lakeland house, Derwent Cottage is set in secluded landscaped gardens in the quiet village of' Portinscale, one mile west of Keswick. The apartment is tastefully furnished and decorated to a high standard, equipped for two people.
This is an ideal location from which to explore the Derwentwater Fells, Borrowdale, Newlands Valley and the Skiddaw Range on foot and the whole of' the Lake District and Northern Pennines are easily accessed by road.
From the private parking area a step takes you up into the Coach House porch.
The Porch is large enough to accommodate a 'mobility scooter' or a table and chairs and provides plenty of space for hanging clothes and storing muddy boots. Doors lead into the fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom is furnished in pine offering ample storage for clothing. The bed may be either twinned or a super king double. The shower room has various grab rails to assist the less able and a large heated towel rail to provide plenty of warmth.
The sunny sitting room has French windows opening out onto the patio and garden. There is a remote controlled awning giving protection from the sun when either inside or out.
